HERO
WATER ANNOUNCES LIFE SAVING PRODUCTS
ONCE ONLY AVAILABLE
TO GOVERNMENT AGENCIES
NOW IMMEDIATELY AVAILABLE TO THE
GENERAL PUBLIC
San Francisco, Calif. (October
09, 2008) – Hero Water, an emergency water
solutions company, today announced at their life saving
product line will now be available for purchase to the
public. Until just recently, the Hero Water product
line was only available to government agencies, like the
US military, the Red Cross and FEMA in emergency and survival
situations.
After Hurricane Katrina, decimated New Orleans, Louisiana,
Hero Water’s emergency water products were issued to
emergency personnel in the some of the most critical areas
where traditional emergency services and supplies were unavailable. As
a result, the emergency water filtration systems received
critical acclaim for their effectiveness in the field, reliability
of design and ease of use by many of the emergency personnel.
“I’m Rick Arnold. I was the US Air Force’s
Chief survival expert from 2001 to 2004 training pilots in
survival skills, said Rick Arnold, Chief Master Sergeant,
USAF (ret). “I like the fact that the new LifePackTM
water filter is now available to the public. It will
work on virtually any water supply, even muddy or brackish
water, although obviously you want to try to use it on the
cleanest water you can.”
Hero Water’s products make it possible to get clean
drinking water from any natural liquid! From the mud puddle
in your back yard to even disease-contaminated water and
in as little as 2 minuets you will start getting clean drinking
water. Imagine doing this without pumping, external power,
mechanical parts or purifying chemicals.
“When I meet with governmental health and emergency
management professionals around the world, I recommend they
stock this water technology,” said LT General PK Carlton,
MD, Surgeon General USAF (ret). “The ability
to provide clean water in any situation, with no moving parts,
with no complicated formula, with no power required, is absolutely
a phenomenal breakthrough. This technology is so stone
cold simple, that anyone can use it, we can air-drop it into
situations and it provides a lifeline that is critical to
survival in emergency situations.”
Forward Osmosis Technology:
Hero Water's suite of emergency water filtration products
utilize a proprietary membrane filter that is hydrophilic
(attracts water), allows water to pass through, yet blocks
very small contaminants due to the tight construction of
the membrane.
The water driven across the membrane, not by hydraulic pressure,
but by osmotic pressure created by a standard sport drink
fluid on the clean side of the membrane together produce
an electrolyte mixture that provides the body with necessary
vitamins and nutrients that are loss due to dehydration and
consumption in highly stressful situations.
Because our systems use osmotic pressure instead of hydraulic
pressure, our products do not have the clogging or fouling
problems inherent to other filtration systems. Even highly
turbid water, such as those found in the foulest ditch, will
not clog our products (tested to 800 ntu).
Whereas conventional hand pump systems only filter to the
0.1 Micron level, Hero water’s products are two hundred
times more accurate filtering at the .0005 Micron level (5
Angstroms). Because our membrane is so tight, our products
offer fluid purity on par with even complicated and expensive
Reverse Osmosis systems at a fraction of the cost.
About Hero Water
The forward osmosis system was developed specifically for
the US military and disaster relief organizations to be used
under some of the most demanding and extreme conditions. Our
emergency water filters are time tested and field service
approved in foreign and domestic operations like the Hurricane
Katrina response efforts in New Orleans. Now these filtering
systems are now available directly to the public. . For
